The long-awaited sequel to the 2006 animated hit Flushed Away is finally here! Flushed Away 2 (2026) brings back our favorite rat, Roddy, and his adventurous friends for another wild ride beneath the city streets. This time, they’ll face new challenges, unearth even more underground mysteries, and embark on a journey that’s even bigger and more daring than before.
Plot: An Underground Revolution
After the events of the first film, Roddy St. James (voiced by Hugh Jackman) has settled into his life in the sewers of London with his new friends Rita Malone (voiced by Kate Winslet) and the rest of the quirky crew of sewer dwellers. But their peace is once again disrupted when a mysterious new villain, Professor Ratbone (voiced by John Malkovich), emerges. This high-tech, cunning rat has a sinister plan to take control of the entire underground world.
When Ratbone threatens to flood the sewers and turn the peaceful rat community into a corporate-controlled, automated city, Roddy, Rita, and their gang are forced to team up again. This time, they’ll have to venture deep into the dangerous and largely unexplored parts of the underground world, beyond the familiar sewers, into hidden caverns, tunnels, and forgotten infrastructure.
Along the way, they’ll encounter strange new creatures, treacherous environments, and, of course, Ratbone’s mechanical minions. With time running out, Roddy must take on a new leadership role, and the team must rely on their wits, teamwork, and a bit of luck to stop Ratbone and save the underground from his diabolical plans.
